First Ever Grand-Round Style Teaching Format Offers over 100
Accredited Online Lectures Covering Broad Range of Medical and
Surgical Topics Graduate Education Foundation, Inc. (GEF), a Cherry Hill-based
non-profit foundation today announced an innovative new series of
on-line continuing medical education lectures for doctors and other
healthcare professionals. The content features lectures by the world's
leading authorities, while remaining totally objective and free from
commercial influences. All profits will be used to enhance bedside
education at the medical school and post graduate residency level by
awarding institutional Master Teacher Grants. "Nothing this comprehensive has ever been available for healthcare
professionals. The ability to have available at their fingertips a
clinical information library and an online educational resource for
day to day support is invaluable," said Michael S. Feldman, M.D.,
Founder and Chairman of GEF, and a practicing cardiologist and
professor of medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine. Developed by leading physician-educators, CMElectures.org consists
of more than 100 fully accredited, multi-media presentations covering
a broad spectrum of specialty care and medical and surgical related
issues. Lecture series are offered in 18 areas of specialty including
pain management, cardiology, rheumatology/arthritis, pediatrics and
emergency medicine. Each lecture is original, evidence-based, and
relevant to the practice of medicine in today's dynamic health care
environment. Unlike traditional CME courses offered in hotels and
conference centers, the GEF "classroom" can be accessed at any time,
from anywhere that there is an Internet connection. CMElectures.org have been integrated into educational programming
by prestigious medical schools, teaching institutions and both state
and national medical societies. All lectures are accredited through
the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education and Drexel
University College of Medicine and provide CME credit.
