BlissScore: Overall job happiness score assigned by employees.
The CareerBliss BlissScore is derived from company reviews, which
evaluate each of the key factors that contribute to the overall
happiness in the workplace on a scale of 1-5.
“Once workers have their basic needs met by their income,
incremental dollars do not necessarily mean incremental happiness.
Many factors beyond money drive career happiness for workers who
make above $75,000 a year. Workplace culture and having control
over your work environment are two key themes in the data this
year,” says Heidi Golledge, Cofounder and Chief Happiness Officer
of CareerBliss.
“Although Marketing Managers were not the highest paid career on
our list, they had the highest BlissScore,” continues Golledge.
“Money does not always buy happiness; factors such as company
culture and your role at work have a lot of impact on how you feel
about your career and therefore your happiness.”
