Protalix BioTherapeutics pipeline eyes gout treatment as financial strength fuels future growth
Protalix BioTherapeutics Chairman Dr Eliot Forster joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss the company’s innovative approach to drug manufacturing, which leverages plant cells instead of traditional mammalian cells. This unique method enhances purity, sustainability, and reproducibility, setting Protalix apart in the biotech industry. Forster highlighted the company's commercial success, noting that Protalix has two marketed products through partnerships with Pfizer and Chiesi. He emphasized the company’s strong financial position, having repaid all outstanding debt and operating without warrants, reinforcing its ability to drive long-term growth. A key focus of the discussion was PRX-115, Protalix’s experimental treatment for severe gout. In 2024, the company completed a first-in-human study with promising results. A Phase 2 trial is scheduled for 2025, and Forster expressed optimism about its potential to address a significant unmet medical need. Beyond PRX-115, Forster detailed the company’s strong financial performance in 2024, describing it as a breakthrough year fueled by increased revenue from its three business streams. Looking ahead, Protalix is actively advancing treatments for rare diseases, including renal conditions, as it continues to expand its innovative pipeline. #proactiveinvestors #protalixbiotherapeutics #nyseamerican #plx #Biotech #DrugDevelopment #GoutTreatment #Pharmaceuticals #EliotForster #PRX115 #HealthcareInnovation #ProactiveInvestors

Acuity Risk Management CEO on cybersecurity, partnerships & growth
Acuity RM Group Plc (AIM:ACRM) CEO David Rajakovich talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's role in the cyber GRC (governance, risk, and compliance) space. Unlike traditional cybersecurity providers, Acuity focuses on real-time risk assessment through its flagship product, STREAM. Rajakovich explained that STREAM functions as a command centre, integrating external data sources to offer a comprehensive view of an organisation's security posture. Rajakovich, who recently took over as CEO, shared his background in scaling businesses, particularly his experience at Skill Dynamics. He highlighted Acuity’s strong presence in government and defence, as well as its growing footprint in financial services and highly regulated industries like pharmaceuticals. The discussion also covered Acuity’s recent acquisition of Rizikon from Crossword Cybersecurity. Rajakovich emphasised that the acquisition was driven by the opportunity to expand Acuity’s customer base, rather than the software itself. Many Rizikon customers are now transitioning to STREAM, benefiting from its broader capabilities. Looking ahead, Rajakovich hinted at upcoming partnerships, particularly within the government and defence sectors. He also outlined Acuity’s two-pronged growth strategy: expanding its mid-market reach through product-led growth and leveraging strategic partnerships to access customers earlier in their cybersecurity journey. With a refined go-to-market strategy and a focus on scalability, Acuity Risk Management is positioning itself for significant growth in the coming years. Alvopetro Energy CEO on growth, gas sales & Canadian expansion
Alvopetro Energy CEO Corey Ruttan talked with Proactive's Stephen GUnnion about the company’s fourth-quarter and full-year 2024 results, highlighting a 37% production increase in early 2025. He attributed this to the successful redetermination of the Caburé asset and the development of the Murucututu asset in Brazil, which led to an upgraded gas sales agreement with Bahiagás. Ruttan detailed the financial highlights, emphasizing Alvopetro’s industry-leading operating netback margins of 86–90% and strong cash flow, which supports its capital allocation model of returning half of cash flow to stakeholders while reinvesting the rest into organic growth. The company also announced a dividend increase to $0.10 per share. Additionally, Ruttan discussed Alvopetro’s expansion into Canada through a strategic partnership with a private operator. The company has already drilled two multilateral wells with six horizontal legs each, totaling over 15 kilometers of open hole drilling. These wells were completed under budget, with production results expected in the coming weeks. Looking ahead, Ruttan said Alvopetro aims to continue expanding its production capacity in both Brazil and Canada. He noted that the company is well-positioned to deploy capital into high-return opportunities in both regions. Stay tuned to Proactive for more updates on Alvopetro Energy. Aguia Resources’ path to cash flow & expansion as it eyes high-grade gold in Colombia
Aguia Resources Limited (ASX:AGR) executive chairman Warwick Grigor talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's transformation over the past 15 months. He explained how Aguia moved from financial struggles to a gold-focused future after acquiring Andean Mining. The Santa Barbara project in Colombia is the key driver, with a newly announced exploration target of 1.5 million to 4 million ounces of high-grade gold. Aguia has raised $1.5 million to accelerate drilling and expects an active news flow in Q2. Grigor emphasised that further capital raises are unlikely, as future operations will be funded through internal cash flow. The company also secured a ten-year lease agreement to process phosphate in Brazil at a significantly lower cost than originally planned, with production targeted for September. Discussing the investment case, Grigor pointed to the multi-million-ounce potential at Santa Barbara and Aguia’s ability to self-fund drilling through gold revenues. He described gold as the current focus, with phosphate positioned as a cash-flow contributor. For more updates on Aguia Resources, visit Proactive's YouTube channel.
