BOSTON, June 18,
2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Overseas Adventure Travel
(O.A.T.), the leader in small group travel and immersive
experiences, is excited to announce the launch of 19 new
itineraries for 2025. These adventures, both by land and small
ship, reflect the destinations O.A.T. travelers have most
frequently shared interest in—from the sacred temples of
Thailand to the placid waters of
the Amazon's Rio Negro, and the
fishing villages of West
Africa.

Among the top new itineraries is Journey Through Southern
Italy: Sicily, the Aeolian
Islands, Calabria &
Puglia. This 18-day* small group adventure explores the
undiscovered gems of southern Italy, featuring ancient ruins, small medieval
villages, and the natural wonders of Sicily and beyond. Among the highlights
includes a walking tour of the centuries-old village of
Martina Franca, followed by a visit
to a local farm to learn about the production of capicolli, a
traditional cured meat. Later, travelers can explore Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the Marina Corta town
square, and the Archaeological Museum Nazionale.
"At O.A.T., we pride ourselves on listening to our travelers,"
said Brian FitzGerald, CEO, Grand
Circle Corporation, the parent company of O.A.T. "These travel
experiences are a mix of completely new destinations for O.A.T.,
and new opportunities for exploration of beloved locations—and all
based on where our travelers have shared they want to go."
Highlights of 2025 Itineraries

- Alpine Europe:
France, Italy's Dolomites, Switzerland & Austria (18-days; 16 or less
travelers): Learn what it means to follow the Alpine way—from its
snow-capped peaks, mountain valleys, and glacial lakes to the
warmth, charm, and culture of the cities and villages of the
foothills. See what draws visitors here when you ride a funicular
up to the peak of Aiguille Du Midi in Chamonix, France or trek across Italy's Dolomites. Glide across Lake Lugano on
a private boat tour, gaze up at the triple-peaked Tre Cime, and discover a unique part of the
world where people embrace nature and take joy in the simple
pleasures of life.
- Athens & Ionian Sea
Voyage from Greece to Albania (16-days; 25 or less
travelers): Cruise for 7 nights aboard the privately owned,
50-passenger M/V Arethusa on a journey that will take you
from the cradle of western civilization, Athens, and up the Ionian coast to the cities
of Albania. As you make your way
along the fabled waters of the Mediterranean, explore ancient
wonders like the Acropolis and Ancient Olympia, visit the Greek
isles of the Ionian Sea, and take in the medieval and modern
history of Albania. Plus, connect
closely with local culture during exclusive activities such as
spending A Day in the Life of the Greek
village of Kleisoura.
- Brazil in Depth:
Rio de Janeiro, Amazon Cruise
& the Pantanal (15-days; 25 or less travelers):
Experience the best of Brazil,
from the sultry samba rhythms of Rio to the inland capital of
Brasília, whose futuristic architecture prompted UNESCO to
designate the entire city a World Heritage Site. Journey into the
heart of the Amazon on a three-night river cruise and go canoeing
and horseback riding to watch for prowling jaguars and the myriad
wildlife of the Pantanal, the world's largest wetland. And meet the
Brazilian people while sharing a meal with a local family in
Brasília and experiencing A Day in the Life of
piranha fishermen in a remote village in the Pantanal.
- Exploring South America:
Rio, Buenos Aires, Patagonia &
Chilean Fjord Cruise (20-days; 25 or less travelers):
South America is a veritable feast
of majestic landscapes, distinctive flora and fauna, and cultural
wonders. We'll explore the best the continent has to offer by land
and during a 4-night cruise aboard the shared charter, 90-passenger
M/V Skorpios III. Witness the thundering cascades of Iguassu
Falls in Argentina and
Brazil, discover the windswept
beauty of Patagonia's Torres del Paine National Park, and admire
the glacier-lined fjords at Chile's southern tip.
- Southern Africa Discovery: Victoria Falls, Kruger Safari & the Cape
Peninsula (16-days; 16 or less travelers): Journey to
Zimbabwe to witness the
awe-inspiring beauty of Victoria
Falls, the largest curtain of water in the world, along with
the rare opportunity to track endangered white rhinos by foot.

Africa with exciting game-viewing drives in Kruger National
Park, home to all of Africa's
legendary "Big Five" safari animals, followed by the lush vineyards
of Stellenbosch in the heart of South
Africa's wine country and Cape
Town.
