PlusOneCoins are a social media coin that you use on the ADVFN bulletin board to promote posts or threads that you like.
When you read a post that you like, you can award some PLUS1 to it. This rewards the poster by transferring the coins to their wallet. It also increases the visibility of the post - it moves it to the top of the thread, it adds it to the PlusOneCoin Wall, and puts it on the front page of the ADVFN site.
You can also promote a thread in the same way - the thread will move to the top of the bulletin board.
So if you think a post or thread deserves to be seen by more people, you can use your coins to promote it. All you have to do is to click the +1 button next to the post or thread you want to promote, then say how many coins you want to award.
Unless you have amassed a huge number of coins you will usually be awarding a fraction of the coin, for example 0.001.
The poster will receive approximately 70% of the amount - it will be added to their wallet. (The remainder goes to ADVFN, helping to support the community)
The promotion lasts for a certain length of time but you can keep it going by awarding some more coins each day.
The +1 button tells you how many coins have been awarded to a post or thread.
You can of course promote your own posts, but you will lose the transaction fee each time you do this.
Whilst you can't send coins directly from your ADVFN wallet to another user's ADVFN wallet, you can withdraw them to any external address (e.g. a desktop PLUS1 wallet). You just need their wallet address - that's the long string of letters and numbers. Go to your wallet page and paste in their wallet address, and the amount you want to send them.
Yes, you can sell your coins on any cryptocurrency exchange that lists PLUS1. At the moment, the coins can be traded on SouthXchange. You will need to set up a PlusOneCoin wallet on the exchange, then withdraw the coins to that address.
