investors and interested parties to hear a live webcast of its
Annual Shareholder Meeting on Thursday, May 12, 2011, at 1 p.m. CT.

Michael H. Carrel, president and chief executive officer, and
Peter J. Goepfrich, chief financial officer, will conduct the
formal business of the annual meeting. No presentations will be
made in light of the definitive agreement announced on April 27,
2011, pursuant to which a subsidiary ("Merger Sub") of Toshiba
Medical Systems Corporation ("TMSC") will acquire all of the
outstanding shares of common stock of Vital Images for $18.75 per
share, through a cash tender offer followed by a merger.
The Annual Shareholders Meeting will be held at Vital Images'
headquarters located at 5850 Opus Parkway, Suite 300, Minnetonka,
Minnesota.
