Hemisphere Gold Reports on Auger Sampling With Individual Results as High as 5.85 Grams/Ton Gold

RENO, NV , a gold exploration, property acquisition and mining
development company, is pleased to announce results from an auger
sampling program initiated in June 2006.
The results of the auger sampling are very positive with
individual sample values as high as 5.85 grams/ton gold. The
anomalous auger sample values suggest a trend that parallels
contacts between mafic igneous rocks and granitic intrusive rocks.
Pockknocker pits and recent shafts dug parallel these contacts and
are being mapped and sampled.
The sampling methods, sample shipment, preparation, and data
entry are following guidelines of international exploration under
the supervision of a Qualified Person, Dr. Dennis J. LaPoint, and
meet the guidelines of the TSX exchange and 43-101 Standards of
Disclosure for Mineral Projects report requirements.
This auger sampling consisted of shallow holes, up to 8 meters
in depth, excavated by hand auger in soil to assay for indications
of gold. This program focused on a small area of the concession
that is referred to as Alimonie North. This grid and one to the
south were selected based on stream sediment anomalies from earlier
exploration.
A total of 3,228 samples were entered in the database from 565
auger holes. Samples were collected on lines spaced 200 meters
apart with sample stations every 100 meters. Samples were collected
every one or two meters in depth to a maximum depth of 8
meters.
Since the original grid had positive results, the grid is now
being in-filled sampled on 25m stations to better define gold
targets in areas of anomalous samples. The Company is now focusing
on the Red Hill area of the Alimone North with current sampling
programs in place.
Based on grab samples and geologic setting the Southern grid has
great potential for new targets of development. Auger sampling
methods are being reviewed to allow more rapid sampling that still
will define anomalous trends of gold.
Company President Ted Pomerleau stated, "We are very pleased as
a team with the results to date of this area. Now that we are
tightening up the spacing on the grid, we will be better able to
define a potential gold bearing district."
