Exercise of Options

Basepoint was notified yesterday that certain employees and directors of the
Company, exercised options over 705,225 ordinary shares of 10p each under the
Basepoint plc Approved and Unapproved Share Option Schemes.


Details of the options exercised by employees are as follows:

* In addition to the above, Mr Cleaver, together with Mr B S Keys, a former
director of the Company, is beneficially interested in the City of Birmingham
Securities Pension Scheme ("the Scheme").  The Scheme's current holding in the
Company is 43,250 ordinary shares representing 0.36% of the Company's issued
share capital.

An application has been made for the 705,225 new ordinary shares to be admitted
to AIM and trading is expected to commence on 10 November 2005.

The Company is required to disclose the following information in accordance with
Rule 2.10 of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers:

Following the exercise of the options, the Company has 11,960,813 ordinary
shares of 10p each in issue. The International Securities Identification Number
(ISIN) for the ordinary shares is GB0007381295.
