DORI MEDIA EXTENDS AGREEMENTS TO RUN GENERAL ENTERTAINMENT
CHANNELS ON 'HOT' AND 'YES' PLATFORMS UNTIL 2014
Combined with the recently announced movie channel agreement
with 'HOT', these extended agreements are expected to generate
total revenues of between US$59 million and US$65 million over 3
years
Tel-Aviv, Israel - January 28, 2011 - Dori Media Group Ltd.
("DMG" or the "Company"), the international media company active in
the field of television and new media, with a focus on production,
distribution, broadcasting and merchandising of Drama and
Telenovela, announces that its subsidiary, Dori Media Spike ("DMS")
has signed a three-year extension to its agreement with leading
Israeli cable platform "HOT" to operate the general Entertainment
Channels for another 3 years from 1 January 2011 until 2014. The
latest transaction includes the sale of a new series channel to
"YES", the leading DBS television provider in Israel.
The extended partnership is expected to secure revenues between
US$14 million and US$17 million over 3 years for the "HOT"
entertainment channels and the new series channel to YES. "HOT's"
revenue contribution has decreased but combined with the sale of a
new series channel to YES and the recently announced three-year
extension to operate the "HOT" premium movie channels, total
revenues generated by the extended "HOT" and "YES" agreements are
expected to be broadly in-line with revenues generated from the
deals between 2008 and 2010. The terms remain materially unchanged
from the original agreements signed in 2007.
Nadav Palti, President and CEO of Dori Media Group, commented:
"We are delighted to announce the continuation of our productive
relationships with HOT and YES, the leading TV platforms in
Israel".
