Guangdong Development Fund Limited ("GDF" or "the Company") was informed on 4
November 2005 that QVT Fund L.P. ("QVT") had acquired 9,650,000 ordinary shares
of US$0.01 each in the Company on 28 October 2005.



Following this acquisition, the aggregate holding of QVT of ordinary shares in
the Company is 28,672,678, representing 29.58% of the Company's issued share
capital.



The registered holders of the shares held by QVT are as follows:

April 2004.
