Bullman Minerals Intersects 45.5 m Grading 2.44 g/t Gold on the Siguiri Gold Project, Guinea, West Africa
March 17 2014 - 9:30AM
Business Wire
Bullman Minerals Inc. (TSX.V: BUL) is pleased to announce the
results of its first drill program on the Siguiri Gold Project
located in northeast Guinea, West Africa. The program started the
last week of November 2013 and was completed the first week of
March 2014. The 55 hole program comprised 2,220 m of diamond
drilling (DD) and 7,655 m of reverse circulation (RC) drilling.
Results from this program along with historic drilling (37,325 m)
will be used to complete an independent NI43-101 compliant mineral
resource estimate later in 2014.
Highlights
- Selected intersections from four
deposits hosted along a 16 km shear zone are:
- Shawn deposit – 45.5 m grading 2.44
g/t gold (SDD13-009) and 46.2 m grading 1.90 g/t gold
(SDD14-012),
- Fadiougoula deposit – 21.0 m grading
1.27 g/t gold (SRC13-310),
- FK deposit – 9.0 m grading 2.68 g/t
gold (SRC13-297), and
- Tinko deposit – 17.0 m grading 0.97
g/t gold (SRC13-319),
- The drill program confirmed and
extended the near surface gold mineralization intersected in
historic drill programs and exposed in artisanal pits.
- Twin diamond drill holes of three
historic RC holes returned similar intervals and grades as the
historic RC holes.
- The twin holes along with the historic
QA-QC program have verified the quality of the historic
database.
- Near surface gold mineralization is
amenable to open pit extraction and heap leach processing similar
to the nearby SAG mine located 30 km to the west, however
additional testwork is required to confirm this mining and
processing scenario.
The Siguiri Gold Project covers a 248 square km area and is
comprised of three exploration permits organized into two
concession blocks, a North Block comprised of two permits and a
South Block comprised of a single permit. The project is underlain
predominantly by fine grained sedimentary rocks comprised of
siltstone, argillite and immature sandstones. A north to northeast
striking shear zone that is over 60 km long extends across both the
North and South Block, and is host to gold mineralization exposed
in artisanal pits and intersected at depth in drill holes.
In the North Block, four deposits from north to south (FK,
Tinko, Shawn and Fadiougoula) are hosted along part (>16 km) of
this shear zone and were the focus of the historic and recently
completed drill programs (Table 1). The FK, Tinko and Fadiougoula
deposits have been drilled on east-west fences spaced 200 m apart
with 50 m collar spacing along the fences, whereas the Shawn
deposit has been drilled on fences spaced 100 m apart and similar
50 m collar spacing. Most of the holes were angle holes (-50 to
-60°) drill towards the west to approximately 150 m vertically
below surface; several diamond drill holes were drilled to 200 to
250 m below surface. Gold mineralization is associated with
moderately developed quartz stockworks and sheeted veinlets that
have been oxidized to depths varying from 40 to over 100 m below
surface. Additional infill drilling is required to outline the
higher grade “shoots” within the extensive mineralized zones
outlined to date. The mineralization is open at depth and to the
south where the shear zone hosting the gold mineralization on the
North Block permit extends onto the South Block permit. The South
Block permit has seen limited exploration (shallow air core
drilling) to date, but has extensive artisanal workings coincident
with the projection of the shear zone.

Drill Program.

Laboratory Procedures
Reverse circulation and diamond drill samples are submitted to
SGS Mineral Mali Sarl in Bamako, Mali for assaying; the laboratory
complies with ISO 17025 and ISO 190111 operational and quality
control systems. The samples were analyzed by fire assay with an
atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) finish after digestion in aqua
regia. The Company inserts Quality Control – Quality Insurance
samples (standards, duplicates and blanks) in addition to samples
inserted by SGS to monitor the analytical results of the
laboratory; samples inserted for the samples reported herein were
within acceptable limits.
