Cardiac Network, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: CNWI) announced today that it has expanded its development initiatives for its products and services to include new technologies such as wireless communications and emergency "panic" alert features for its heart monitors, including global positioning systems for locating patients in need of medical help. Cardiac Network has a signed letter of intent with a third-party technology company to develop exclusive and proprietary cutting-edge technology for all of Cardiac Network's products and services.

"We are working with our manufacturing partners and are finalizing licensing agreements with technology companies to partner with us on our next generation of patient-friendly heart monitoring products," stated Michael Swartzburg, President and CEO. "We recognize that in this current economic environment, it is our commitment to innovative approaches to cardiac healthcare that will position the company for long-term success with an aging population of baby-boomers."

The new technology platform will allow patients experiencing cardiac episodes to communicate at the touch of a button directly with the Cardiac Network monitoring station, even if incapacitated. In turn, Cardiac Network's medical technicians can communicate directly with a patient's doctor or emergency response team. Cardiac Network anticipates announcing further details of its development programs and new products and services during the first quarter of 2009, or as new material definitive agreements are signed.
