Russia's UCP Interested In Leading Vkontakte IPO In Next 5-6 Years

MOSCOW--Russia's United Capital Partners fund, which on April 17
announced the deal to purchase 48% of the country's most popular
social network Vkontakte, said Wednesday it is interested in
leading the company towards an initial public offering under the
leadership of its founder Pavel Durov within the next five to six
years.
"We are interested in the future growth and development of the
project," Yury Kachuro, UCP's partner and chief lawyer said in a
statement.
Among other Vkontakte shareholders are Russian Internet company
Mail.Ru (MAIL.LN), which owns a 39.9% stake in the company, and Mr.
Durov, who owns a 12% stake.
