Atlantic Coal, the AIM listed open cast coal production and processing company with activities in Pennsylvania, USA, was informed on 16 February 2011 that on 14 February 2011 Credit Agricole Cheuvreux International Ltd ("Credit Agricole") had a notifiable interest in 124,236,499 ordinary shares of 0.07 pence each (the "Ordinary Shares") representing 5.47 per cent. of the total voting rights.

Subsequent to the above, on 17 February 2011 Atlantic was notified that on 15 February 2011 Credit Agricole's notifiable interest had reduced to 101,153,199 Ordinary Shares (representing 4.45 per cent. of the total voting rights) and then on 21 February 2011 Atlantic was notified that on 17 February 2011 Credit Agricole's interest had reduced to below reportable thresholds.
