Definition of Uniform Commercial Code

The Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) is a set of laws in the U.S. (initially published in 1952, but has been revised several times since then) that regulates governing commercial or business dealings and transactions, with the goal of standardizing business laws in the U.S. and seeks uniformity among the states; mainly focussing on the transfer or sale of private property.
