Futures are bouncing around a little, I doubt we will have any serious upside move. Tariffs are here to stay, it is not a negotiating tactic at all. He is a man with a mission to bring down the global economy to its knees.

SMCI is anti-tariff company, a Low Margin Seller

that has forced Dell, HPE, and others

to lower their prices in tech sector...

Building U.S. Jobs in 2024 selling for less

than others with high cost company set ups...

Wall Street sicked their Shorting Hoodlums on

SMCI to try and drive up the internal company

costs to aid the higher cost tier companies...

SMCI still needs shareholder support...

https://www.supermicro.com/en/solutions/data-management

Battling Shorting Hoodlums on Wall Street

isn't new to SMCI...

Hundred million or more of short shares want

to see the SMCI share price drop...

SMCI shareholders strictly oppose that motion...

Futures are bloody red again. Oh well!!! Facts of life with the looming recession heading this way.

Waiting for the bottom, at this rate, I hope it doesn't fall into the teens by August. Back in 2006, I saw Apple drop from the high 70 dollars to the 5 dollars and change in mere 6 months time frame and that was Apple. I hope the current situation doesn't get any worse than the financial crisis of the mid 2000's. Japan is asking Trump for exemption from Tarrifs and if he proceeds, all heck is going to break loose.

I don't understand bonds, nor do I care, I just see things as they are with my own two eyes, sometimes I even don't believe my right or left eye, it has to be two eyes at the same time witnessing everything and let it register in my brain. In plain lame mans terms, it is dog eat, dog eat environment now.

Meh. In Laymen's terms, China buys our Treasury bonds. It's not nefarious, they do it because the US dollar was most stable.

Of course it is, everyone wants to score perfect, but no one can predict the top or the bottom in today's environment we are in. The writing was on the wall, since just a month ago, probably even before then.

Yes, I have heard about the bees, for the last 20 plus years, nothing new and that could happen. I was at Vons not too long ago, after I shopped I went to get in my car and even took a video and posted it to my son, kid you not, I saw probably over 100,000 bees or more swarming in one area of the parking lot, I had a eerie feeling something is was not right and still feel that way. Scary times for sure.
๐Ÿ‘๏ธ0

I get it, but no matter how much cash I have, losing a small car per day is painful.

I don't think people consider how many foods are made with eggs.
BTW, I heard today that if all bees were gone, the human race could only survive for 4 months.

Yes they are and I'm currently down just in my one trading account about $27,500 today. Sure glad I sold off some stuff recently, but kicking myself for buying some back already.
I'm not sure how you predict a bottom when you don't know what's coming tomorrow.

I would argue that regarding supply & demand, the import of eggs would hardly result in a decline in pricing, and still be a contributing factor, even though existing tariffs may not be cited. Come Easter, there may be only chocolate eggs

I have no interest in trying to decipher one's politics. I've read some very dumb stuff around here regarding the topic.
Again, silly for you to not just say "I could have been clearer" as opposed to chastising me for not reading your mind.
Is this really the hill you want to do battle on?
๐Ÿ‘๏ธ0
rahrah rahrah 13 hours ago
Tariffs may indeed impact egg prices, since: According to data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Canada accounted for around 42 per cent of all foreign eggs sent to the United States in 2023, the last year for which data is available.
๐Ÿ‘๏ธ0
dinogreeves dinogreeves 14 hours ago
I have admitted to my mistakes and yes on this board too, but I can't make you read my mind when I write things and I am not here to spell everything out for you, either you think I have an ounce of brain or you don't think so, if you think I have an ounce of brain then you should be able to read between the lines.
๐Ÿ‘๏ธ0
fung_derf fung_derf 15 hours ago
Or...maybe you write like it?
Two different people had the same take based on exactly what you wrote. If you can't express yourself clearly, perhaps you shouldn't blame the readers.

I guess I can just start assuming what you mean to say, but I'm sure you'd prefer that even less.
Never ceases to amaze me how IHUBbers would rather attack an individual than clarify their mistakes.

fung_derf fung_derf 16 hours ago
I agree with you on much of this, but Trump didn't cause egg prices to rise. Bird Flu did.

1996-1997 H5N1 bird flu viruses first detected
In 1996, highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 virus is first identified in domestic waterfowl in Southern China. The virus is named A/goose/Guangdong/1/1996.

When was the bird flu outbreak in the US?
The very first human case of bird flu was detected back in 2022 when a poultry worker in Colorado reported conjunctivitis. That person recovered easily and human cases were not reported again until 2024.

When I was in the Galapagos Islands a couple of years ago, they had to kill all the chickens due to bird flu.
๐Ÿ‘๏ธ0
fung_derf fung_derf 16 hours ago
Interesting. So you think there is a meeting between all the billionaires where they agree to this, or are you saying they are smarter investors?
That's quite a conspiracy theory.
China penalizing Canada is concerning though

Yeah, no one know what is going to happen, one day up, next minute down, we are not going to have a huge drop one day unless there is terrorist attack, the way this is panning out is slowly it will bleed once people start looking at the ripple effect, cars, lumber and some things in the mix, plus you add to that already market that is overextended.
๐Ÿ‘๏ธ0
dinogreeves dinogreeves 1 day ago
I know that already. Price of eggs is the combination of bird flu, inflation and everything else in between, but Tariffs will have ripple effect regardless.

Are you telling me, you are smarter than Warren Buffet or 1100 economist that said Tariffs that like the kind Trump is alluding to it's not the right thing to do? There has always been Tariffs, I remember back in the 70's my father would travel to Dubai from Iran and he would bring back cases of Johnnie Black Scotch and he had to pay 20% tariffs on them. Regardless how you look at things, it is detrimental to the economy, 20 dollars for organic eggs is outrageously high. This kind of economy will not sustain itself, been around long enough to know, there is a 10 year cycle, 10 years of prosperity, 2-4 years hardship and then the cycle repeats again for another 10 years.
๐Ÿ‘๏ธ0

Biden did tariffs in 2024.

Canada does tariffs.

Mexico does tariffs.

China does tariffs.

Pretty much every country does tariffs.

When they do tariffs it is OK, but now it seems that tariffs will create the end of the world. LOL.

Welcome to looming recession of the likes of which could be similar or worse than 2008 crisis ( I had to use the lying clown in Chief motto) maybe even worse created the same lunatic. Remember as they said, "Be careful for what you wish for". I am all for cutting jobs and red tape bureaucracy, I am all for illegal immigrants being sent bank especially the criminals, but this ridiculous tariffs will cause massive selloff in the market in the coming days and months and probably years. He needs to stop this madness. Clown in Chief has lost it I believe, he lies, lies and lies, I mean they all do, but this lying clown in Chief lies in your face, knowing all well everything coming out of his mouth is by far from the truth.

Step One: Announce Tariffs, stock market drops

Step two: Billionaires short stocks

Step Three: After a few months roll back Tariffs and Billionaires start buying lots of stocks and the stock market rebounds

And this how they get richer.

You just have be real careful and have enough funds to buy the bottom. Starting 4th quarter of this year. Be prepared, it's only going to get worse. Housing prices are going to sky rocket. China just placed tariffs on Canada too. I guess you can call this a real Trade War, since they don't want to use their military and let the consumers suffer around the World. Clown in chief started this nonsense BS.

They are not worth it if you have a payment plan, if you pay cash and install enough panels, you give back to the grid. My son at the time he was only 18 when he installed solar on his house in Vegas that he inherited from his grandmother, he bought it with a payment plan of 99 dollars a month, if you don't own it outright you don't give nothing back to the grid, mine is paid cash when I bought my house brand new, at the time when I didn't have electric cars, my bill was running 60 dollars a month, cause I was giving back to the grid and the panels for 30,000 grand was fully paid in cash when I bought the house also for cash. Like I said, it is not for everyone, unless you buy all fully paid for and enough panels to support your electric usage.

NVDA needs to finish above $117.50 today or its a sign of weakness.
There are many stocks that have pulled back to a potential buy, I'm not sure NVDA is high on my list. I bought it around $86 and I think I'll be happy with those.
I already had sold some at $144 and $121, so my rule states to just sit on the last third.
Buy GOOG instead.

Splurged on a few NVDA shares yesterday,

NVDA with a touch over $60 billion of

free cash flow last year...

NVDA is doing a project with Verizon on

5G networks and,

SMCI has been developing products for

telco towers,

not sure if there is a Connection...

Remember the big fud against dell and smci

being underbid by hpe on some servers?...

well Mr. Market doesn't reward bottom fishing

for lower margin biz below the norm...
