Do you hear yourself? Gasoline is 100 times more energy dense than lithium of equal mass - FACT. Gasoline creates energy at the end use point, while electric to charge a battery needs to be sourced & created first off-site and transferred to the storage compartment through miles of wires. You call that efficient? Did you know that batteries degrade with time even without use? A combustion engine could sit for 100 years and run the same as it did when shut off. Distance and power gets less and less as the electric car ages. A gasoline car could have a cup of gas left in the tank and still provide the same horsepower as a full tank. You can't repair a single failed cell in a lithium battery, you need to replace the entire package that costs $$$$ more than the car is worth. Electric cars do not operate in extreme cold or heat as normal. They are temperature sensitive. A by-product of a combustion engine is heat which is not using power at all to heat the vehicle in cold weather. Air conditioning is also a huge drain on an electric car cutting down travel distance significantly. If you get stuck in traffic on a snowy highway, you have to choose if you want heat or distance, Or stuck in traffic on a hot day using the AC. Not so with a gasoline or diesel car. You get stuck on the highway, from a dead main battery in an electric car - where are you going to get the power to charge it back up? In a gas or diesel car, you just fill the tank again in minutes with fuel and proceed on your way. When a combustion engine cars goes on fire, it gets put out with water easily. Not so with an electric. Water makes it worse. And the electric car creates a hazmat area in the aftermath. Besides the risk of fire in electric cars that can spontaneously explode for no reason into a plasma fire that burns at 5,000 degrees Fahrenheit. Lithium batteries are already armed bombs just waiting to erupt. Gasoline on the other hand needs two more parts, heat and oxygen to ignite. Basic science 101. You can't disarm a lithium battery once it is assembled. You are very gullible and void of common sense, logic, knowledge and simple physics.

Carbon is not a poison or pollutant. I see you are ignorant of the facts. Without carbon, the world dies. Plants and trees need it to create oxygen. The more carbon the better. You must have went to public schools that taught junk science and propaganda. Humans are mostly carbon and so is all life. Nature controls all. It balances everything. So you just exposed the naivety of your thought process. California is a wasteland and superfund site now because of the toxic fires in that lithium battery plant that would never had occurred without the greenwashed idiots who created this disaster. Cheers.

Yep, my father was a very wise man to buy his 2019 Tesla Model 3 dual motor!!! My father wasn’t very computer savvy when it came to using computers, but he drove it back and forth from Conn. to Florida and back twice when he was almost 80 years old!! He loved his Tesla and Elon 😢.

Yes, they look like one but are not. The powerful Stealership organizations across the country have worked hard to block Tesla from selling direct to customers on line. I know in New Mexico, they blocked Tesla and snickered at them. Then Elon went to the Indian Reservation and they said, sure, bring it on. Don't mess with Elon. It is still a show room though. You can NOT buy a Tesla there. If you take a test drive and want to buy one, They will help you fill out the on line order form, but that is to order a vehicle. The car can be ready with a couple of days (from inventory somewhere) or when production is done at the factory and delivered to the delivery center (AkA showroom). That can be a couple of weeks, or a month or more.(depends.....). They also have a service center there for repairs.
Fair statement if you are not used to the new way to buy a car. A few minutes to fill out a form and a few minutes to pick up the car when ready. Easy as pie. The in between can be a bit convoluted, but the have gotten better at that. No sales people.....
👍️0
chklingon chklingon 24 hours ago
N, that is a showroom. They have no dealerships. You order on line. Even if you go into the store and have them help you fill out the on line order, it is still just that. No dealerships...... The Cybertruck is not everyone's cup up of tea. I actually like it, but I am NOT a truck person.

I’d rather own a Tesla!!! Below are just the ‘common’ repairs!!!

Here's a more detailed breakdown of common ICE car repairs:
Routine Maintenance:
Oil Changes: Regular oil changes are crucial to maintain engine lubrication and prevent wear and tear.
Filter Replacements: Replacing air filters, cabin filters, and fuel filters ensures optimal engine performance and air quality.
Brake System: Regularly inspect and replace brake pads, rotors, and calipers as needed.
Tire Replacement: Replace tires when they reach the wear limit, ensuring safe and efficient driving.
Tire Rotation: Rotate tires periodically to ensure even wear and extend tire life.
Coolant Check: Ensure the coolant level is adequate and replace as needed to prevent overheating.
Battery Issues: Check and replace the battery as needed.
Fluid Flushes: Flush fluids like brake fluid and power steering fluid as recommended by the manufacturer.
Belt Replacements: Replace belts (timing belt, serpentine belt) according to the manufacturer's schedule.
Potential Problems and Repairs:
Engine Issues:
Engine problems can range from simple issues like spark plug replacements to more complex issues like head gasket leaks or engine damage.
Transmission Issues:
Transmission problems can include slipping gears, fluid leaks, or complete transmission failure.
Exhaust System:
Inspect for leaks in the exhaust system, which can lead to safety and performance issues.
Suspension and Steering:
Address suspension and steering issues like worn shocks, struts, or steering components.
Electrical Issues:
Address electrical problems like faulty sensors, wiring issues, or alternator problems.
Rust and Corrosion:
Address rust and corrosion issues, especially in areas prone to salt and moisture.
Catalytic Converter Efficiency:
Ensure the catalytic converter is functioning efficiently and replace if necessary.

It would depend if they have the same rebate/subsidy as the US has on his cars (lower priced ones) and other manufactures in the US of pure electric cars. He gets $7500 per car sold from the US Government.

Maybe Canada does the same. But they now have a 25% tariff on everything coming from here so good luck Musk.

Wow, a steady train of FUD on the TSLA board lately. A constant stream of nonsense about batteries, Hybrids, Elon, production and many other often disproved junk. However, the new Model Y is coming out of all 3 factories and has hundreds of thousands of orders. The old model Y is no longer being made. The 3 month hold and the people waiting for the new model instead of the old is about over. The new cheaper model will be revealed this summer some time. I know what I hold and am NOT a trader.
