The Board of Ambient plc (the 'Company') received notification today, in
accordance with sections 198 to 202 of the Companies Act 1985, that on Tuesday
13th May 2003, Insight Investment Management Limited purchased 333,333 ordinary
shares of 1p each in the Company and accordingly now has a holding of 1,574,411
ordinary shares in Ambient plc, which represents approximately 3.09 per cent. of
the Company's issued share capital.
