Aspyra, Inc. (AMEX:APY) announced today that the Company has entered into an agreement with Valley View Regional Hospital (VVRH), a 142-licensed bed facility located in Ada, Oklahoma, to upgrade the hospital’s laboratory and imaging department systems to the most current release of Aspyra’s CyberLAB Laboratory Information System (LIS), CyberPATH Anatomic Pathology (AP) System and CyberRAD Radiology Information System (RIS) solutions.

VVRH has been an Aspyra customer since 2002. The hospital, managed by Mercy Health System of Oklahoma, serves the city of Ada, as well as surrounding counties in south central and parts of southeastern Oklahoma. In addition to the main location, the hospital operates a satellite clinic located in Stratford, Oklahoma.

“We are looking forward to implementation of our upgrade to CyberLAB 7.2, as well as the latest versions of CyberPATH AP and CyberRAD RIS,” stated Cheryl Weems, VVRH Laboratory Director. She continued, “We are especially excited about the enhancements to the result auto-verification in the lab module, as it will help to prevent medical errors and improve report turnaround. We will institute this process as soon as possible once we are live on the new release.”

“In addition to the efficiencies gained within the laboratory, Valley View Regional’s imaging department will experience similar results with the RIS upgrade,” stated Michelle Del Guercio, Aspyra’s Vice President of Marketing and Product Management. She continued, “The upgrade will enable the facility to eliminate redundant entries by integrating the Aspyra RIS with the hospital’s current PACS, capture additional pre-authorization information and schedule patients with ease using the enhanced room scheduling module.”

Valley View Regional Hospital will be implementing CyberLAB version 7.2 and CyberRAD version 5.4 on a Windows platform, utilizing a MS SQL database structure. CyberLAB LIS features decision support tools with auto-verification, automated clinical reporting and multisite management. CyberRAD RIS features complete departmental solutions for a busy hospital imaging department or center.
