BUFFALO, N.Y., Jan. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Highlights - Ecology & Environment, Inc. has just been selected for negotiations for Architect- Engineer (A-E) Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste (HTRW) contract by the US Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District. The contract is for three years worth up to $4 million per year, working primarily in EPA Region 2 (NY, NJ, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands) and the geographic regions covered by the Northwestern Division of the Corps. Through this contract, E & E will provide environmental and engineering services to support military and civil cleanup projects for hazardous waste. Key scope-of-work elements will include: * HTRW site investigations, feasibility studies, and other engineering studies/reports; * HTRW designs, O&M, and community involvement; * HTRW construction phase services; and * Oversight of remedial investigation, feasibility studies (FS), remedial design (RD), remedial action (RA), and long-term remedial action performed by others. E & E's first assignment under the new contract is expected to be awarded in February 2006. The assignment will involve pre-design investigations and remedial design services at a Superfund site in New Jersey.
