KIER GROUP plc - AWARDS UNDER LONG-TERM INCENTIVE SCHEME


On 2 October 2003 the Trustees of the Kier Group 1999 Employee Benefit Trust
made awards to directors of Kier Group plc under the Kier Group 1999 Long-Term
Incentive Plan of contingent rights to receive the following number of ordinary
shares in Kier Group plc, based on a closing mid-market price of 627.5p per
share:

Mr R W Gregory - 14,342 shares

Miss D E Mattar - 16,733 shares

Mr R W Side - 15,537 shares

Mr R W Simkin - 14,342 shares
