Cape Plc announces that it was today informed that Montpellier Group plc
disposed of 1,500,000 shares in the Company on 13 August 2003 and 500,000 shares
in the Company on 14 August 2003.

Following the above disposals, Montpellier Group now hold 14,243,480 Ordinary
shares in the Company representing approximately 26.22 per cent. of the issued
share capital of Cape.
