Procera® Networks Inc. (NYSE Amex: PKT), the intelligent policy enforcement company, today announced the appointment of Shawn Sweeney as Vice President of Global Solutions Engineering. Mr. Sweeney is an industry veteran with over 20 years of related experience in the networking business, including having served most recently at Juniper Networks for over four years in a senior leadership position. He joins Procera to lead the Company's technical field and solutions organization and further its position as the leader in delivering Intelligent Policy Enforcement (IPE) solutions based on advanced deep packet inspection (DPI).

As a leader of systems engineering teams, Mr. Sweeney has driven initial product offerings for consecutive startups from concept and trial to revenue, resulting in initial customers and market traction. His extensive experience includes working first hand with diverse technologies ranging from edge routers for cable and wireline service providers to security appliances and access control systems for enterprises. Additionally, he has held senior management positions in systems engineering and solutions integration with Alcatel, Siemens, and Juniper Networks.
