Result of Extraordinary General Meeting - 29 December 2003


The board of Stoddard is pleased to announce that at the Extraordinary General
meeting held today, the resolution to approve the disposal of part of Stoddard's
property at Glenpatrick Road, Elderslie, Renfrewshire was passed unanimously by
Stoddard shareholders.


Proxy votes received in favour of the resolution totalled 26,763,780 votes
representing 99.9% of the total votes cast.


Completion of the disposal is expected to take place on 12 January 2004.
