Opening of Fourth Tunis Site Reinforces Stream's Commitment to
Expanding Global Client Base BOSTON, Feb. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/
-- Stream Global Services, Inc., (NYSE Amex: SGS), a premium,
global business process outsource (BPO) service provider
specializing in customer relationship management services for
Fortune 1000 companies, today announced its continued global
expansion with the opening of its fourth service center in Tunis,
Tunisia. Supporting the growing demand for Stream's global BPO
services, the 550-seat facility located in the town of Le Kram will
serve as an offshore solution center for Stream's expanding
European and French-Canadian client roster. Stream opened its first
service center in Tunisia in 2004 to provide offshore French
support for one of its leading European clients. Following this
most recent Le Kram opening, Stream's presence in Tunisia grows to
four service centers, accommodating a combined total of more than
2,000 seats with the ongoing ability to expand capacity.
Multilingual service professionals in Stream's Tunis centers
support Arabic and French languages for a variety of companies,
such as telecommunications service providers; hardware and software
manufacturers; and consumer electronics companies. With this
expansion, Stream now operates 50 locations supporting 34 languages
across 22 countries. The newest Tunis service center will provide
technical support and customer care solutions for new and existing
clients looking for high-quality, cost-effective support in an
offshore location. Stream carefully selected Tunis as a key
offshore location for the country's diverse economy, highly
developed education system and excellent quality of French language
support. According to the Global Competitiveness Report 2007,
released by the World Economic Forum, Tunisia ranked 11th in the
"quality of the educational system." "Since the opening of our
first service center in Tunis more than 5 years ago, we have
witnessed exceptional growth and client success in that region. Our
ongoing expansion in Tunis is a direct result of that success and
the continuing demand from our client base for exceptional French
support in a cost-effective, offshore location," said Scott Murray,
chairman and CEO of Stream. "We are excited to see such demand and
be in a position to address it with this expansion. We are
confident that the area's diverse population and multilingual
capabilities make it a prime location for Stream's client base,
supplying quality resources in French and Arabic." MEDIA CONTACT:
