            Sports Network to support the National Firearms Amnesty


The board of Sports and Leisure Group Plc are pleased to announce that Sports
Network, in which Sports and Leisure have a 22% stake, is to participate in the
National Firearms Amnesty in conjunction with the Home Office and the Police.


In a show of support for the national campaign, Sports Network has pledged to
set aside 10,000 tickets for selected boxing events. From the 31st of March to
the 30th April anyone handing in firearms or live ammunition to their local
police station will be entitled to receive a voucher. These vouchers will then
be redeemable for entry tickets at selected events commencing with the Ricky
Hatton v Vince Phillips World Title fight at the Manchester Evening News Arena
on April 5th.
