Temporary Suspension of Listing
Aseana Properties Limited (LSE: ASPL LN), a property developer
in both Malaysia and Vietnam which is listed on the Main Market of
the London Stock Exchange, announces that the Company is not in a
position to publish its annual audited accounts for the year ended
31 December 2019 by close of business on 30 June 2020 as previously
announced. The finalisation of the Annual Report and completion of
the audit have been delayed primarily due to the impact of the
global COVID-19 pandemic which led to the movement restrictions in
Malaysia and Vietnam which have been in place since March 2020.
These restrictions have continued to hamper the completion of the
Annual Report. However, it is presently anticipated by the
Directors, having consulted with the Company's auditors, that the
audited financial results should be published by no later than 20
July 2020. This delay will mean that the Company's Shares will be
suspended from trading on the London Stock Exchange from 1 July
2020 until such time as the financial results are published.
Accordingly, the Board has requested that the Company's ordinary
shares be temporarily suspended from the Official List and from
trading on the London Stock Exchange with effect from 1 July 2020,
pending publication of the audited accounts, following which the
Company will request the suspension be lifted.
