The Company was notified on 23 May 2003 that in accordance with the Companies
Act 1985 (as amended) that UBS Global Asset Management Life Ltd has an interest
in 3,333,645 ordinary 2.5p shares of the Company.  This represents 4.01% of the
issued share capital of the Company.

UBS Global Asset Management Life Ltd is a subsidiary of UBS Global Asset
Management Holding (No.2) Ltd which is also treated as having an interest in the
above shares.  They are authorised to make this aggregate disclosure on behalf
