Satellite Security Systems, Inc. Receives Third Order From the Gateway Cities Council of Governments

PR Newswire (US)
SAN DIEGO, March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Satellite Security Systems (S3),
a wholly owned subsidiary of Celtron International, Inc. (OTC:CLTR)
(BULLETIN BOARD: CLTR) , announced today that it has received a
third order for GlobalGuard(TM) Electronic Monitoring Units (EMUs)
from the Gateway Cities Council of Governments (COG). The EMUs will
be used to electronically record diesel engine run hours and
mileage accrual within the South Coast Air Basin (SCAB) and the
Port of Los Angeles. The COG has implemented a Clean Air Program
(CAP) with a Fleet modernization element, the objective of which is
to reduce exhaust emissions from existing heavy-duty vehicles
operating in the SCAB Area through grant funding that
"incentivizes" truckers operating pre-1987 trucks to purchase
newer, cleaner trucks; and through the permanent retirement of
older trucks as a source of emissions by destroying their engines
and chassis frames. The EMUs purchased will be used to gather
information including engine hours and miles traveled by monitored
vehicles throughout various air district zones. Results are
collected by S3, sorted by geographic region and electronically
submitted to the COG. Jon Leonard of TIAX LLC, who heads up the
technical team that implements the program for the Gateway Cities
Council of Governments, said, "To date, we are very satisfied with
the GlobalGuard units. The monthly data reports are very
comprehensive and enable us to quickly assess the information we
need. This latest order for additional units is confirmation that
the GlobalGuard system works well for the Gateway Cities program,
and we continue to have strong confidence in the product." Ken
Dixon, S3's Chief Executive Officer, noted that, "Historically, Air
Districts relied on bi-annual hard-copy surveys mailed from program
participants to track engine usage. Air Districts have reported
this process to be labor intensive and error prone. As Air
Districts transition to electronic monitoring, S3's solution
provides a more efficient approach by automating this process and
guaranteeing accurate collection of information." Dixon went on to
say that, "S3 is rapidly developing expertise in this market and in
the near term will expand services beyond California to other
states in need of these automated data-collection processes." S3
won a 5-year hardware supply and monitoring service contract
through a formal Request for Purchase (RFP) program issued by the
Port of LA in 2005. About Satellite Security Systems, Inc. With
