Uranium oxide produced from Energy Resources of Australia Ltd.'s (ERA.AU) Ranger mine fell 28% on the year in 2010, dropping from 5,250 metric tons in 2009 to 3,793 tons, the company said Thursday.

ERA, whose Ranger operation in the Northern Territory is the world's second-most productive uranium mine, said it had fallen short of guidance of 3,900 tons due to material that had been processed but not loaded into drums for sale.

"This tonnage will be drummed in January and reported in the March 2011 quarter," the company said in its December 2010 operations review.

The company's uranium production rose 28% on the quarter and 2% on the year in the December quarter to 1,165 tons.
