Appointment of Interim CEO for Motopia Limited

The Board of Motopia Limited (ASX:MOT) is pleased to announce
the appointment of Matthew Gerard as interim CEO of the Company for
a minimum period of 6 months.
Mr. Gerard was appointed a Non-Executive director of the Company
in November 2010. He is also currently the Chairman of the
Snapdragon Group of Companies, which is involved in various
businesses including the marketing and distribution of household
products, online retailing and other investments. Prior to this
position, Mr. Gerard was the Executive Chairman & CEO of the
Mistral Group of Companies, one of Australia's leading marketers
and distributors of household appliances, homewares and electronic
products.
Mr. Gerard relocated the Mistral group of companies head office
from Melbourne to Hong Kong in 2007. He was the sole architect in
the company's new and highly successful direction in Asia, UK and
the USA. His experience and successful record in globalising
companies will greatly assist Motopia's international plans by
placing both Asia and the USA high up on Motopia's expansion
agenda.
Mr. Gerard's skillset, diverse contact base and significant
business experience will play a key role in the continued
restructure and transformation of the Company to becoming a world
leader in the mobile marketing space. Executive Chairman Mr. Jitto
Arulampalam stated, "we are delighted that Matthew has accepted the
position as interim CEO to integrate the businesses acquired over
the past 3 months and assist the Board in mapping out the long term
strategic plans of the Company."
Matthew's key business focus over the next 6 months will be as
CEO of Motopia and his appointment as CEO is effective immediately.
Over the next 6 months the Board will conduct an extensive local
and international search for a permanent CEO.
