Prairie Mining Ltd. (PDZ.AU) said Wednesday that due diligence
at its Polish Jan Karski project has identified potential synergies
with an adjacent mine.
The adjacent mine, Knurow-Szczyglowice, is owned by Jastrzebska
Spolka Weglowa SA (JSW.WA). Prairie said that it identified the
potential to access one of its seams using existing infrastructure
on the adjacent mine. Talks with the Polish company regarding
potential co-operation are continuing, Prairie Mining said.
The due diligence also confirmed that part of the Lublin deposit
contains semi-soft coking coal.
