Directorate change



C.H.E. Group PLC (the "Company") today announces that David Cook has been
appointed as Chief Executive with immediate effect.


On 1 July 2003, the Company announced that David had become Acting Chief
Executive in addition to continuing in his role as Finance Director. Since then,
the board has concluded that David should be formally appointed to the role of
Chief Executive and that the Company should seek the appointment of another
Finance Director. Until such appointment, David will also continue to act as
Finance Director.


David joined the group as Finance Director from Millennium & Copthorne Hotels in
August 2001. David has worked in the hotel sector for 37 years and during that
time has obtained a wealth of experience in both financial and operating
matters.
