Harley-Davidson Inc.'s (HOG) board of directors elected current
director Barry Allen as chairman, effective Saturday, the company
said in a statement released after its annual shareholder
meeting.
Allen, a 17-year member of Harley-Davidson's board, succeeds
Jeffrey Bleustein, who wasn't up for re-election.
Shareholders elected four directors at the meeting: new director
Martha Brooks, and returning directors Don James, Jim Norling and
Jim Ziemer. Brooks has been president and chief operating officer
of Novelis Inc. (NVL) since 2007 and is also a director of
International Paper Co. (IP).
The board also approved a cash dividend of $0.10 a share for the
second quarter to be payable June 19 to holders of record of the
company's common stock on June 4.
