A. Dennis White Named CEO and President of MetLife Foundation

NEW YORK, March 2 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- MetLife Foundation
today announced that A. Dennis White has been named CEO and
President of MetLife Foundation. He will also oversee MetLife's
corporate contributions. Previously, White served as head of
MetLife's Social Investment Program, a role in which he will
continue along with his new responsibilities. "Dennis brings with
him a wealth of experience to his new role," said Gwenn Carr,
MetLife senior vice president and Chairman of the Board of MetLife
Foundation. "His long history with MetLife and his deep commitment
to community development and philanthropy will help further the
work of the Foundation." Throughout his 20 years with MetLife,
White has had extensive interactions with nonprofit organizations,
policymakers, and community leaders. In the late 1990's, he managed
the day-to-day activities of MetLife Foundation. As the head of
MetLife's Social Investment Program, he is responsible for
developing and managing MetLife's social and community investment
activities. Prior to MetLife, White worked for the Association on
American Indian Affairs, Inc. as an Economic and Community
Development Officer, and for PaineWebber, Inc. as a senior
financial analyst. White received a bachelor's degree from Rutgers
College and an MBA in Finance from the Rutgers Graduate School of
Management. He is on the board of directors for Living Cities: The
National Community Development Initiative. MetLife Foundation was
created in 1976 by MetLife to continue its longstanding tradition
of contributions and community involvement. The Foundation makes
grants in health, education, civic affairs and culture. In 2008,
