Frontier IP investee GraphEnergyTech discusses solar panel collaboration
GraphEnergyTech CEO Dr Thomas Baumeler discussed a collaboration with the Taiwan Perovskite Solar Corporation, Taiwan’s prestigious Industrial Technology Research Institute and the University of Cambridge. The project is supported by an Innovate UK grant worth nearly £900,000. Known as GETPSC (Graphene Electrode Technology for Perovskite Solar Cells), Baumeler explained that current solar cells rely on expensive silver electrodes, which degrade when in contact with Perovskite Solar Cells. GraphEnergyTech, a Frontier IP Group PLC (AIM:FIPP) portfolio company, aims to replace these with graphene-based electrodes, offering a more stable and cost-effective alternative. "Graphene is one of the most interesting materials out there," he said, highlighting its durability and lower cost compared to silver. Perovskite Solar Cells are considered the next major advancement in photovoltaics due to their efficiency and simpler manufacturing process. However, industrial-scale adoption has been hindered by the lack of a viable nonmetallic electrode—something GraphEnergyTech aims to solve. Baumeler also noted that GraphEnergyTech is working on replacing silver electrodes in traditional silicon-based solar cells while exploring applications for its conductive carbon-based technology in batteries, supercapacitors, and electronics. Blockmate Ventures: Hivello’s AI expansion with Nosana
Blockmate Ventures Inc (TSX-V:MATE, OTCQB:MATEF) chairman Domenic Carosa talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about Hivello’s latest integration with the Nosana network. Carosa explained that Hivello allows users to rent out their computer resources, similar to how AirBnB operates for homes. This model enables users to generate passive income while contributing to a decentralized blockchain network. The integration with Nosana enhances this model by tapping into AI demand. “Nosana is one of the leading GPU DePINs… they basically power AI,” Carosa said. He highlighted that Hivello’s users are now actively contributing to training AI models and earning from it. Carosa also discussed the recent token generation event (TGE), comparing it to an IPO in the crypto space. As of the interview, Hivello’s token had a fully diluted value of over $20 million, providing significant value to Blockmate Ventures, which owns approximately 50% of Hivello. Looking ahead, Blockmate Ventures is focused on expanding its DePIN integrations and increasing customer adoption. Carosa emphasized that the company is doubling down on AI and blockchain opportunities in 2025. For more exclusive interviews and updates, visit Proactive’s YouTube channel. Proactive - Interviews for investors
West Cobar Metals' high-grade copper discovery: Bulla Park delivers exceptional results
West Cobar Metals Ltd (ASX:WC1) managing director Matt Szwedzicki talked with Proactive's Jonathan Jackson about the company’s latest metallurgical results from the Bulla Park project. Early-stage testing has delivered high-grade copper, silver, and antimony concentrates with strong recoveries. Szwedzicki described the initial float test results as amazing. A key challenge at Bulla Park has been the presence of tetrahedrite, a less common mineral in Australia. However, recent testing has demonstrated successful separation and recovery processes. The company has now achieved 88% extraction of antimony, a commodity that has surged in value due to reduced exports from China. Szwedzicki also discussed West Cobar’s broader strategy, including plans to optimise metallurgical processes, assess a mineral resource estimate, and advance drilling at Bulla Park. Beyond this, the company is progressing its Salazar project in Western Australia, which holds rare earths, scandium, and alumina resources. The recent acquisition of the Mystique Gold Project further strengthens West Cobar’s portfolio, adding a promising gold exploration target. Stay tuned for more updates from West Cobar Metals.
