RCS MediaGroup SpA (RCS.MI) said Tuesday it has asked the
financial entities involved in a refinancing deal with the Italian
publisher to revise some of the terms and conditions of the
agreement following the recent improvement seen in financial
markets.
The company, which publishes one of Italy's most influential
daily newspaper, Corriere della Sera, in mid-April approved the
terms of a refinancing deal with a group of banks to reschedule
maturing debt worth EUR575 million ($739 million). The deal
comprises three lines of credits with maturities of between three
and five years.
RCS Mediagroup's stakeholders include Fiat SpA (F.MI),
Assicurazioni Generali (G.MI), Intesa Sanpaolo (ISP.MI) and
Mediobanca (MB.MI).
