                              DIRECTORATE CHANGES


Renold plc, an international engineering group producing a wide range of
precision engineering products, today announces the following changes to its
Board of Directors with immediate effect.


Mr (Tony) Derek Anthony Brown, aged 55, has been appointed Managing Director -
Chain and Power Transmission Products; he will continue to be an executive Board
member.  Tony Brown joined Renold in 1990 and was appointed to the Board in 2000
as Finance Director.


Mr Stephen Richard Mole, aged 46, joins the Renold Board today and assumes the
position of Finance Director.  Stephen Mole is a Fellow of the Chartered
Institute of Management Accountants and joined Renold in 2000 as Group Financial
Controller.  His previous positions included finance roles at BTP plc, Zeneca
plc and Unilever plc.
