Proactive - Interviews for investors
Eclipse Metals secures uranium partnership
Eclipse Metals Ltd (ASX:EPM) executive chairman Carl Popal talked with Proactive about the company’s earn-in agreement with Boss Energy Ltd to advance exploration at the Liverpool Uranium Project in the Northern Territory’s Alligator Rivers Uranium Field. Popal described the deal as a “game changer” that brings funding, technical expertise, and an experienced uranium producer into the project. The agreement allows Boss Energy to earn up to 80% ownership in stages by funding exploration work, with an initial commitment this year followed by further investment. Discussing the potential of the Devil’s Elbow prospect, Popal highlighted its geological similarities to the high-grade Jabiluka deposit. He emphasisd that the project has strong uranium, palladium, and gold mineralisation, with deep drilling planned to explore its full potential. Beyond uranium, Eclipse Metals is advancing its Greenland rare earths projects, with key metallurgical results expected soon. The company is optimistic that its assets, including a large carbonatite deposit, could be significant in the rare earths sector. Ilika CEO Graeme Purdy on 50Ah Goliath EV battery prototype milestone; scaling up
Ilika PLC (AIM:IKA, OTCQX:ILIKF) CEO Graeme Purdy joined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion with details about the company's latest milestone—the successful prototyping of its 50Ah Goliath EV battery. This marks a significant leap from the previous 2Ah prototype, representing a 25-fold increase in capacity. Purdy highlighted the importance of scaling up production to meet industry requirements. "We need to make sure that we've got reproducibility. What industry needs is not just a few successful cells but large-scale, reliable production," he said. Ilika has benefited from £2.8 million in grant funding through the Faraday Battery Challenge, which Purdy noted has effectively doubled the impact of investor funding. In parallel, Ilika has also demonstrated its manufacturing process at a giga-scale setting through a partnership with the UK Battery Industrialisation Centre (UKBIC). Looking ahead, the company plans to complete its 1.5MWh per year pilot line with automated equipment. Key upcoming milestones include releasing P1.5 prototypes in the summer and the full P2 release by year-end. Stay tuned for more updates on Ilika’s Goliath program. Graphene Manufacturing Group advances aluminium-ion battery development with key U.S. partnership
Graphene Manufacturing Group CEO Craig Nicol joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share an update as the company continues to make strides in the development of its Graphene Aluminium-Ion Battery technology, a cutting-edge innovation being pursued in collaboration with the University of Queensland and Rio Tinto under a Joint Development Agreement. Nicol told Proactive, to accelerate battery development, GMG has signed a service contract with the Battery Innovation Center (BIC) in Indiana, USA. This partnership will support the next phase of research and optimization, leveraging BIC’s state-of-the-art 40,000-square-foot facility in Newberry, Indiana. As a globally recognized innovation hub, BIC specializes in advancing battery technologies, offering end-to-end support from research and development to prototype manufacturing and low-volume production—a critical advantage for GMG as it scales up its graphene-based energy storage solutions. Nicol emphasized that collaborating with BIC allows GMG to access advanced battery manufacturing infrastructure without incurring the high capital costs of building its own pilot production facility—an investment that could exceed AU$10 million. Through this agreement, GMG will retain full intellectual property (IP) rights over the battery development work, ensuring control over its proprietary technology while optimizing BIC’s cell design expertise and battery manufacturing capabilities. By integrating BIC’s expertise into its scale-up strategy, GMG can streamline the production of sample battery cells before committing to mass production, reducing risks and deferring large capital expenditures until the technology reaches a higher level of readiness. Looking ahead, GMG aims to optimize battery performance, produce initial test cells this year, and engage customers for validation. Nicol noted strong interest from major companies eager to integrate this technology. #proactiveinvestors #graphenemanufacturinggroupltd #BatteryTech #

Lavras Gold expands drilling at LDS Project in Brazil, highlights Almeria discovery
Lavras Gold Corp. President & CEO Michael Durose talked with Proactive's Angela Harmantas from the PDAC conference on Toronto about the company’s latest developments at the Lavras do Sul (LDS) Project in Brazil. The company, a gold exploration firm, currently holds around 1 million ounces across two of 24 exploration targets. Durose outlined the key 2024 milestones, including 17,000 meters of drilling across key areas such as Butiá, Fazenda do Posto, and Caneleira. A major highlight was the Almeria discovery, where drilling intersected 56 meters at 1 gram per ton of gold from surface. Looking ahead, Lavras Gold is focused on infill drilling at Butiá to define a potential mineable resource and step-out drilling at Fazenda do Posto to determine the mineralization limits. The company is also conducting metallurgical test work at Butiá, which will later extend to Fazenda do Posto. Durose emphasized that additional drilling results and exploration at Caneleira will be major catalysts for the company in 2024, potentially expanding the known mineralization footprint. #LavrasGold #GoldExploration #MiningNews #GoldStocks #BrazilMining #JuniorMining #DrillResults #GoldDiscovery #Investing #MiningInvestments
