The number of mobile phones in circulation in Brazil totaled 147.1 million at the end of November, up 1.6% from October, according to preliminary figures released Monday by telecommunications regulator Anatel.

Net additions in the month were 2.3 million.

The subscriber base has grown 26.4% since Nov. 2007.
