VANCOUVER, May 6, 2020 /CNW/ - HealthSpace Data Systems Ltd. (the "Company" or "HealthSpace") (CSE: HS) (Frankfurt: 38H) (OTC: HDSLF) is pleased to announce it has begun working with Montgomery County Health Department in Illinois to utilize the Company's HSCloud Suite platform for COVID-19 contact tracing. Montgomery County reached out to the Company last week as they heard about the benefits of the platform from Cass County, another agency in Illinois utilizing HealthSpace for contact tracing. The Company provided access to Montgomery County May 4th and is providing use of the platform on a gratis basis for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic.
HealthSpace Data Systems Ltd. (CNW Group/HealthSpace Data)
The Company has continued to see increased demand as word spreads about the platform. In recent weeks, both the US and Canadian governments have stressed the need for extended contact tracing. The Company is poised to continue to work with government agencies, both large and small, to act as a force multiplier to public health agencie's contact tracing efforts.
HealthSpace CEO, Silas Garrison commented "Contact tracing has dominated the headlines recently. This news flow and heightened awareness regarding the needs and benefits of contact tracing is extenuating the glaring gap in the ability for agencies to utilize technology to help. Our platform not only has the ability to be deployed rapidly, it fits perfectly within the normal course of work public health agencies are already doing. We believe that as numerous people begin to be employed to bolster contact tracing efforts, our platform will be a proven benefit to accentuate the human effort with an automated solution."

HealthSpace Data wins $3.06-million (U.S.) contract
2018-04-04 07:07 ET - News Release
Mr. Joseph Willmott reports
HEALTHSPACE ANNOUNCES NEW USD$3.064 MILLION SAAS CONTRACT - THE LARGEST IN COMPANY HISTORY
The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) has signed a five-year contract for the Office of Environmental Health (OEHS) to install and maintain the HealthSpace Data Systems Ltd. CS Pro enterprise cloud application for the entire commonwealth. The contract is worth $3,064,000 (U.S.) over the five years.
HealthSpace president Joseph Willmott stated, "This is the largest single contract ever signed by HealthSpace and is a tremendous endorsement of our new cloud technology."
In 2003, VDH went live with the Virginia Environmental Health Information System (VENIS) that was an Internet-based client/server system developed and maintained by HealthSpace. HealthSpace provided the first public access website in North America for VDH where the public could view restaurant inspections. VDH decided that it wanted to change to a cloud-based application from the established client/server system provided by HealthSpace. They published a request for proposals and received 22 responses from vendors across North America. The HealthSpace proposal was the one accepted.
OEHS is responsible for policy development, training, technical support and programmatic oversight for assigned programs. Most program activities are carried out by environmental health staff in the district and local health department offices. However, the shellfish program, the bedding and upholstered furniture program, the marina program and the environmental lead program are housed within OEHS. In addition, HealthSpace systems will manage the oversight of the rabies program and the beach water monitoring program provided to district staff by the Office of Epidemiology.
Statewide, there are approximately 500 professional environmental health staff, plus additional office support staff, housed in 121 local offices of 34 health districts for a total of more than 900 concurrent users.
The company has also signed a new contract for the new HS cloud system with the LaPorte County Health Department in Indiana. The contract is worth $36,300 (U.S.).
HealthSpace president Joseph Willmott stated: "We are pleased to have our first customer in the state of Indiana. Across North America we are gaining much interest from agencies excited about our new product lines. This is especially true in states and provinces where we currently do not have a presence."

Core Government Business - HSCloud Suite
In late 2016, the Company announced a new product line called HSCloud Suite. HSCloud is an enterprise web platform capable of eliminating much of the paperflow that comes with running a government agency by automating much of the day-to-day tasks. Utilizing a highly configurable business intelligence (BI) engine, each agency is easily able to configure their own laws, rules and business requirements enabling them to work faster, smarter and more efficiently. By mid 2017 the company brought on its first HSCloud Suite clients marking the beginning of the transition to this innovative, easily configurable and higher margin product. In April of this year, the Company announced that it won the largest contract in its history with the State of Virginia. This contract was awarded based upon the Company's latest Cloud technology offerings coupled with its excellent service reputation. This contract solidifies HSCloud as a proven Cloud SaaS product for large government implementations. The new technology suite has been extremely well received and the sales pipeline has been building up significantly. The Company projects recurring revenue to continue to increase in 2018-2019, with growth in the government space rapidly increasing into 2020.
Blockchain - VIA Marketplace
The Company launched a blockchain initiative in late 2017 that has since gained significant attention from various government agencies and the private sector alike. With the onboarding of its first regulatory agency, Peterborough, Ontario, the Company has been able to validate the transmission of audits and regulatory data across a distributed system. HealthSpace is developing a second version of its white paper for the VIA Marketplace in order to expand upon its technological thesis. Part of this will entail offering the blockchain platform as a standardized protocol for larger government agencies and various private industries. By doing so, the addressable market is expanded beyond what was addressed in the first iteration of the white paper. The second version of the white paper will fall in-line with the Company's release of the BETA version of the VIA platform. This version will be aimed at broader testing from community insiders and early adoption into other verticals. Both the white paper and BETA version are in active development and are planned to be released in the near future.
Cannabis
HealthSpace has developed several relationships within the cannabis space and has begun detailing some product changes in order to cultivate market traction. The Company is exploring opportunities with multiple regulatory agencies that oversee and regulate cannabis producers. The Company intends on leveraging its vast experience in developing SaaS platforms for enforcement and compliance into the cannabis space where there is little in the way of software offerings that adequately handle compliance.
