Announcement


On July 22, the National Police Agency notified the Diet of the punitive
measures taken against 14 police officers over the leakage of investigative
information to our former employee, Mr. Kazuhiro Nakagawa, who violated our
company's regulations.   Mr. Nakagawa, who was rearrested on June 10 on
suspicion of attempting to extort money from us, is to face the public
prosecutor's office together with police officers this time.

We infer that these measures were decided upon as a result of a thorough enquiry
carried out by the investigators.

We express regret for the inconvenience to all, especially to the members of the
police force.

We continue to make every effort to promote our compliance with all applicable
rules and regulations, and enhance our information management procedures.
