University of New England Set to Image With CTI

OGDEN, Utah, March 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Computerized
Thermal Imaging, Inc. (CTI) (OTC:COIB) (BULLETIN BOARD: COIB) ,
today announced placement of CTI medical equipment at University of
New England's (UNE) Biomechanics Research Laboratory. UNE believes
biomechanical and physiological response to nerve injury and neural
provocation research will be receiving critical and valuable
physiological data generated from CTI's unique digital infrared
imaging camera. UNE, located in Portland, ME, has contracted for
the use of one imaging suite from CTI consisting of one Thermal
Imaging Processor (TIP(TM)) to be implemented as a key component
used for studies on Peripheral Nerve Injuries. The TIP(TM) system
provides medical professionals a physiological view of the body,
verses the anatomical view produced by other imaging modalities,
such as x-ray and MRI. CTI understands UNE researchers plan to
leverage CTI's most sensitive radiometric infrared camera
commercially available to quantify changes in blood flow during
physical therapy treatment of peripheral nerve injuries. By
measuring temperature changes, TIP(TM) provides valuable images and
data analysis allowing UNE researchers immediate, real-time
feed-back. CTI is scheduled to install and train UNE's staff
beginning April 3, 2006. UNE will commence its research immediately
following the installation. A spokesman for CTI commented "CTI is
