Informa Group plc ("Informa" or the "Company")


On 2 December 2003 Informa announced the proposed acquisition of PJB
Publications Limited (the "Acquisition"). In view of its size the Acquisition
required the approval of Informa shareholders and a circular in connection with
the same was posted to Informa shareholders on 3 December 2003.

Informa today announces that at an extraordinary general meeting of the Company
held earlier today the requisite majority of Informa shareholders passed an
ordinary resolution approving the Acquisition.

It is expected that the Acquisition will complete on Monday 22 December 2003 and
that admission to listing on the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and
to trading on the London Stock Exchange's market for listed securities of the
530,223 new ordinary shares to be issued to Dr Philip Brown as part of the
consideration for the Acquisition will be effective at 8 a.m. on 23 December
2003.
