France's Orange (ORA.FR) said Thursday that it has formed a
partnership with Google to invest in tech startups in Europe, the
Middle East and Africa.
The telecommunications company said it has entered the
partnership with Alphabet Inc.'s (GOOG) search giant through Orange
Digital Ventures, a fund it launched in 2015 to invest in
early-stage companies.
Orange and Google will jointly assess investment opportunities
in fields where the telecom company already has a presence,
including cybersecurity, Internet of Things, cloud computing and
fintech.
Orange didn't disclose financial details.
