Europe Will Carry Signature Branded Snacks PHOENIX, Oct. 19
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Leading snack food manufacturer, The
Inventure Group (NASDAQ:SNAK), has expanded international
distribution of its Burger King(TM) line of ready-to-eat snack
chips to include 17 new countries throughout Asia, Europe and the
Middle East. The new markets include China, Singapore, Malaysia,
Turkey and Scandinavia. The new distribution is in addition to the
30+ countries where Burger King(TM) snack chips are currently sold.
Based in Phoenix, The Inventure Group launched its first Burger
King(TM) products, Ketchup & Fries and Flame Broiled snack
chips, more than two years ago. They quickly gained a loyal
following with consumers in the U.S. through broad distribution at
convenience, grocery, club stores and vending machines.
International distribution soon followed in mid-2008 when Hong
Kong, Japan, as well as countries in Latin America and mainland
Europe, began carrying the products. Since the introduction of the
original Ketchup & Fries flavor, The Inventure Group has
introduced new products to the line including Onion Rings, Hot
& Spicy Onion Rings and French Toast snacks that all mirror the
taste of the best-selling menu items at the leading fast-food
restaurant. In early 2010, two additional exciting flavors will be
added to the line up. "We are looking forward to our Burger
King(TM) snack chips becoming a favorite of consumers worldwide and
we're excited to expand distribution to make these products
available to an even wider audience," said Terry McDaniel,
President & CEO of The Inventure Group, Inc. "The success of
this product line underscores the strength and awareness of the
Burger King® brand and the quality and great taste of the product.
We also have the benefit of a strong licensing relationship with
Burger King Corporation and its affiliates and their teams have
shown tremendous trust in our ability to translate their brand into
the snack category." The Burger King(TM) product line marks the
second successful restaurant licensing agreement for The Inventure
Group, with sales growing steadily each year. The Inventure Group
recently announced a record six-consecutive quarters of
double-digit profit growth, due in part to the success of its
licensed snack products. The Company is focused on growing its core
company and licensed brands. For additional information regarding
