U.S. Futures Decline, European Stocks Mostly Down

U.S. futures for the S&P 500 were down 0.2% and futures for
the Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased 0.4%. Changes in futures
do not necessarily predict movements after the opening bell.
In Europe, the Stoxx Europe 600 dropped 0.1% in morning trading.
argenx rose 4.6% and MorphoSys added 3.7%. On the other hand,
Prosus sunk 14.2%, and adidas lost 6.3%. The FTSE 100 lost 0.2%.
Other stocks in Europe were mixed as France's CAC 40 was flat and
Germany's DAX fell 0.1%.
The Wall Street Journal Dollar Index climbed 0.1% to 96.32.
In commodities, Brent crude gained 0.9% to $79.84 a barrel, and
WTI crude rose 1% to $74.64 a barrel.
The German 10-year Bund yield climbed by 3 basis points to
1.989% from 1.963%, and the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury held
steady at 3.886%. Bond prices and yields move in opposite
directions.
Stocks in Asia were mixed as Japan's Nikkei 225 index gained
0.1%, whereas Hong Kong's Hang Seng declined 1.7%. China's
benchmark Shanghai Composite declined 0.1%.
