Czech Koruna Rises To 17-day High Versus US Dollar

The Czech koruna traded higher against the US dollar in early
European trading on Friday. The koruna advanced to a 17-day high of
18.7435 versus the greenback by about 3:20 am ET, compared to
Thursday's close of 18.9110. At present, the pair is trading near
18.75.
A report released by the Czech National Bank showed today that
Czech M2 money supply increased 3.6% in November from the previous
year. This was slower than the last month's 4.4% increase. A year
ago, the increase was 4.1%.
At the same time, M1 rose 13.1%, slower than the 15.3% annual
growth recorded in October.
Data showed that loans to businesses and households grew at a
faster pace of 2.4% annually, following a 2.1% increase in the
previous month.
