Greenback Climbs To 6-week High Versus South African Rand

The US dollar extended its previous session uptrend against the
South African rand in New York afternoon trading and climbed to a
6-week high of 7.7050 as of 12:25 pm ET Thursday. The
greenback-rand pair that closed yesterday's New York session at
7.5100, is now trading near 7.6821.
