INVESCO Leveraged High Yield Fund Limited ("the Company")

The Directors of the Company are pleased to announce the 1st Interim dividend of
2.5 pence per share, for the year ending 30 September 2001.

The 1st interim dividend will be paid on 31 January 2001, to Shareholders on the
Register at 19 January 2001.

A total dividend of 8.6 pence per share was paid for the period 15 October 1999
to 30 September 2000.

On current revenue estimates and at current exchange rates, the net revenue
after expenses is on target to achieve a quarterly dividend of 2.5 pence per
share and, subject to unforeseen circumstances, should result in an annualized
dividend of 10.0 pence per share going forward.
